The
Gallery, at Rocking Horse Wood Works - where art and imagination
come together!
The
Gallery has a fine selection of art, sculptures, decoys, and
furniture. Prints by local artists include those of Donna Toelke,
Ray Miller, and Karen Noles, and are matted and framed in Polson by
Jim Knaus.
Wildlife
sculptures are made in the U.S.A in a foundry process that takes an
age old craft to a new dimension - a more affordable rendition of
bronze. Each
piece is meticulously handcrafted and is finished with a detailed
hand applied patina, and mounted on a solid walnut base with
serialized brass nameplates.

Our Loon Lake
waterfowl decoys and sculptures start as an original Tupelo
woodcarving by master carver Sam Nottleman.
Sam's wife Lilly then
creates the original paint scheme using actual birds as her models.
They are then meticulously hand cast and hand painted to capture
every intricate detail of Sam and Lilly's originals. |

Quality wood products are
created in our workshop of oak, pine, alder, walnut, cherry and maple, and
are finished with a durable clear coat to enhance the natural beauty of
the wood.
Products include lamps,
tables, quilt racks, mirrors, benches, clocks, shelves, and of course our
heirloom rocking horse. Many of our wood products are accented with
wildlife art, cast from originals by local artists

The Gallery also carries
many locally manufactured items, including Montana Mud Shirts, handcrafted
jewelry, natural handmade soaps and bath products, greeting cards, and
other Montana accents.
